One of the hottest and dryest summers in recent memory is quickly coming to an end with the Labour Day weekend just around the corner.
The hot and dry weather isn’t expected to end any time soon with the long-range forecast calling for more sunshine and wonderful weather as we head into the final holiday weekend of the summer, which is great news for us lucky enough to call the South Okanagan home. Labour Day is a statutory holiday and that means the Osoyoos Times will be closed for business on Monday. We will return to regular business hours on Tuesday.
As a result of the holiday weekend, our advertising deadlines will be moved up with the deadline for display advertising set for Friday at 5 p.m.
The regular deadline for classified advertising will remain in place on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
The annual Labour Day weekend means our highways and waterways will remain exceptionally busy so we urge everyone to take their time, drive safely and use extra caution. Have fun, stay safe, enjoy the time off work and enjoy your friends and family over the course of the final holiday weekend of the summer.
