The Kiwanis Club Oliver has made a donation of $1,000 to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, a national charity committed to ensuring kids in need have equal access to sport and recreation.

Supported by Canadian Tire Corporation, Jumpstart has provided more than three million opportunities for Canadian kids since it started in 2005.

Katlyn Soanes, Regional Manager – Pacific for Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities said that in 2022 the program helped 12 kids locally with $3,500 in funding. Since 2005 1,368 local kids have been helped by the program with a total of $127,326.

Extending her “heartfelt appreciation” to the Oliver Kiwanis Club members, Soanes added: “Your generosity will have a very strong impact on youth in the South Okanagan.”
