A 33-year-old Oliver woman was arrested for possession of stolen property after a brief struggle with Kelowna RCMP on March 4.

Just after 4:15 a.m. an officer was busy with an investigation near the corner of Harvey Avenue and Richter Street when he noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. A check of the licence plate showed that the vehicle had been reported stolen.

The driver of the stolen vehicle attempted to flee but was unable to get past the police vehicle. After a struggle, she was placed under arrest for possession of stolen property.

Police report the accused had several outstanding warrants. She is currently in custody. Her name is not being released at this time.
