On the heels of the very successful Garlic Festival and Festival of the Grape, Oliver is set to host another major event.

October Fest takes place today at Oliver Community Park.

There will be live music, a beverage garden, scarecrow making, food vendors, pumpkin carving, face painting and games for the kids.

The event gets underway at noon and continues through until around 11 p.m.

Wined It Up and Great White North are among the bands performing on the community stage.

Admission is by donation, and all proceeds go toward the Spirit of the Game Society.
