For the second time in as many days the South Okanagan General Hospital’s (SOGH) emergency services will be closed. In a statement, Interior Health said the emergency department at SOGH will be unavailable from 5 a.m. Monday, August 12 to 10 a.m. Monday, August 12 due to what Interior Health says is “limited physician availability”.

Patients are advised to access care at Penticton Regional Hospital during this time. All other inpatient services will continue as normal at SOGH.

People in the community who need life-threatening emergency care (i.e., chest pains, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding) should always call 911 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility.
