The SOSS Hornets defeated Southridge from Surrey 2-0 Friday morning to advance in the provincial girls field hockey championships.

The Hornets dominated the majority of the game by putting constant pressure on the Southridge defence, with big plays by Tatum Brogan, Kalli Marsel, and Cheryce Martine.

The win propelled the Hornets to challenge another team this afternoon (time and location to be determined).
