Six float planes landed in Osoyoos Lake today on a mission to raise awareness of a Canadian charity unique to the vast expanse of this country.
Hope Air is Canada’s only national charity providing free travel, accommodations, meals and ground transportation for Canadians in financial need who must access medical care far from home.
In Oliver, there will be a BBQ steak fundraiser (tickets $25) Friday at 5 p.m. at the Oliver Airport, hosted by the Oliver Flying Club.
The event is open to everyone and provides an opportunity to learn more about this unique organization and speak with pilots about their passion.
