The Osoyoos & District Landfill has been forced to close today due to strong winds, according to an eNews alert from the town. The landfill will reopen as soon as conditions allow, it added.
Environment Canada weather for today shows winds are currently out of the south at 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h, a situation expected to remain until about 5 p.m.
