Hester Creek Estate Winery hosted its third annual Garlic Festival Saturday.
Thousands of people turned out to sample garlic in a variety of ways, from garlic cheese curds, to garlic salsa, to garlic spices.
Those in attendance could attend wine pairing seminars, and sample Hester Creek’s Character Red and White Estate blends.
Admission was by donation to the Oliver Elementary School Farm to School salad bar program. Since, 2012, Hester Ceeek has committed to an anual $11,000 donation, in addition to the donated admission monies collected during Garlic Festival.
To date, Hester Creek has donated and collected more than $25,000 for the program.
It was a great day. Rotary helped out directing traffic, and most importantly, there was garlic aplenty.
