Oliver firefighters responded to a small grass fire north of Oliver late this afternoon.
A burned patch of grass on the side of Highway 97 just north of the Tucelnuit Drive intersection was somewhat of a mystery. Nobody was around, and there was no smoke or flames. Nonetheless, firefighters wet the area with water to ensure there were no hot spots.
The cause remains undetermined.
