Oliver firefighters were called to the food bank this afternoon for an incident involving a mishap with a torch on the roof.
Prior to firefighters arriving, smoke could be seen emanating from the roof where workers were using a torch during a job.
No flames were visible upon arrival.
Firefighters had to cut a hole in the roof to gain access to the source. No significant damage or injuries were reported.
As of 3:45 p.m. the fire was extinguished.
