The Oliver Fire Department was called out to a report of dark smoke behind a residence on Sawmill Road this afternoon, but it turned out to be smoked meat.
According to the fire department, a meat smoker caught fire at 5735 Sawmill Road. But the one truck that arrived was only on scene for a few minutes before leaving. There was no significant damage and no injuries.
