Osoyoos Fire Rescue was called to East Osoyoos on Thursday afternoon after multiple 911 calls were received over smoke emanating from the rear wheels of the semi-trailer truck.
Firefighters were seen spraying water on the rear wheel assembly of the west-bound truck which was pulled off to the side of Hwy 97 near Tamarack Drive. The fire was put out within several minutes.
