The 23rd annual SOSS Enrichment Fund Society golf tournament will be held at Fairview Mountain Golf Course on April 7th and 8th. If you would like more information about participating in this popular golf tournament contact Susan Capyk at 250-498-4336.
For 23 years the SOSS Enrichment Fund Society has awarded scholarships to SOSS graduating students to pursue post-secondary education. This year the society has committed a total of $21,500 to be awarded to 27 students. In the past approximately 425 students have received financial assistance.
This year we are highlighting Spencer Hunt from the community of Okanagan Falls. Spencer graduated in 2008 and received the SOSS Enrichment Fund Society’s Francis Family Scholarship in the amount of $2,500. Norm Francis established two scholarships in memory of his parents Blaine and Alice Francis of Oliver.
Norm stated, “Southern Okanagan Secondary gave me a great all-round education that was an excellent foundation for my post-secondary education and business career. I hope that this donation will help others to further their educational goals and achieve personal success.”
We would like to thank the communities of Oliver and Okanagan Falls for supporting the Society’s endeavours.
