Country would continue to be plaugued by Liberal corruption
It is hard not to be angry if you are a Canadian.
Watching Paul Martin stumble over himself, begging for more time so he can finally live out his own personal, and completely selfish dream of being Prime Minister is absolutely infuriating.
Even more infuriating is the very harsh reality that if an election were called today these same Liberals would probably still win. After all, they just won a by-election in the Maritimes.
This after the Sponsorship Scandal and the Gomery Inquiry in which the Canadian public is finally finding out about the unbelievable corruption of the party which has governed their country for the past 12 years.
There is no question the Liberal Party should be thrown out of power for what they have done.
But that might not happen, simply because of what Canada is. We are a country so big that unity continues to be our biggest issue. And yet, our population remains centralized so that two provinces continue to dominate the political landscape.
It is ironic that the only real way to get rid of the corruption of the Liberals is for an allegiance to be formed with a party whose main goal is the destruction of Canada.
The problem is now where do we go from here?
The reality is that no one knows the best course of action because forcing an election could also be forcing the issue of Quebec separation.
However, not having an election, or worse yet having an election with a Liberal win is that we can be guaranteed more of the same corruption that has plagued this country under the Liberals.
It really is hard not to be angry if you are Canadian.
