Under cloudy skies and -3°C temperatures, dozens of swimmers braved the chilly waters of Osoyoos Lake for the annual Desert Dip 2026 today.
The Osoyoos Festival Society, which organizes the event, said 73 swimmers registered this year, down from last year’s high of 110. The swimmers ranged in age from 3 to 90.
This year once again featured a beach bonfire and a sauna for warming up, with Starbucks handing out free coffee and hot chocolate.
