Students from Dance Oasis Studios had another successful competition recently at the Shine Dance Festival in Mission.

“The festival was amazing with some of the best choreography and dancers we’ve seen yet,” said Chrissie Serry, owner of Dance Oasis. “It was an incredible experience and you can bet we will be back next year.”

The Mission festival was held during the final weekend in April. Dance Oasis is off this week to Vibe Dance Competition in Winfield, which runs from May 7 to 10.

At the competition in Mission, the studio took home two platinum medals, 16 gold, 12 silver and two bronze medals.

Scoring highest for outstanding solos were Becca Knight, Darcelle Knight, Nerys Stuart, Tatum Brugman, Kelsey Bayda, Abby Thompson and Nevaeh Law.

The studio also picked up awards for Outstanding Duo/Trio, Outstanding Group, Top Production, Special Achievements, Top Choreography and some overall awards.

Dance Oasis Studios has enjoyed tremendous success over the past several years, continually doing well in major competitions across the South Okanagan and in larger centres across British Columbia.

The Dance Oasis Studios recently moved to its new home on Hwy. 97 in the old home of the Napa Auto Parts building.
