Osoyoos RCMP and Osoyoos Fire did not just Cram the Cruiser, they gathered enough donations to fill five police cars on Friday.

Osoyoos RCMP, in partnership with Osoyoos Fire Rescue, Buy-Low Foods and Osoyoos McDonald’s held a cram the cruiser and fire truck fundraiser on Dec. 20 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The event garnered enough food donations to fill five police cars, according to Sgt. Jason Bayda,  and almost $2,200 in cash and gift cards raised, all of which was donated to the Osoyoos Food Bank to help support local families in need.

I am absolutely thrilled and grateful and would like to thank all those that donated to this cause, however I cannot say I am surprised. The people of this community never cease to amaze me with their generosity toward one another, said Sgt. Jason Bayda, Osoyoos RCMP Commander. I would also like to thank Osoyoos Fire Rescue, Buy-Low Foods and Osoyoos McDonald’s for their support with this event.
