Crews actioning 1.5 hectare wildfire

BC Wildfire crews are working on a 1.5 hectare fire 27 kilometres northeast of Oliver.

According to the BC Wildfire Service, the Solco Creek fire started Thursday evening and is still classified as “out of control.”

The cause is unknown, and no structures are threatened at this time.

Twenty personnel are on site actioning the fire, along with a helicopter dropping water. Last night three air tankers were utilized to drop retardant on the blaze.
