The Osoyoos Coyotes beat the North Okanagan Knights 4-3 Wednesday night to take a two-game lead in their playoff series.

The Coyotes won more decisively in the first game of the series on Tuesday, winning 5-2.

The series moves to Armstrong for the next two games to be played on Friday and Saturday nights.

Wednesday’s game saw Colten Rhodes open the scoring early in the first period, assisted by Daniel Stone and Judd Repole.

Two minutes later, the Knights scored on a power play to tie the game. Then, with just over a minute remaining in the first period, the Knights pulled into the lead.

Osoyoos tied the game just before the halfway mark in the second period with Rhodes getting his second goal of the game on a power play. Assists went to Carter Shannon and Cody Allen.

Late in the period, Jackson Glimpel fell to his knees, but managed to flip the puck just over the pads of Knights goalie Daniel Paul. Drew Carter and Repole got the assists.

North Okanagan again tied the score late in the third period, but a minute later Braeden Tuck put the Coyotes ahead, assisted by Rainer Glimpel and Repole.

The Knights pulled Paul for an extra attacker in the dying minute, but neither team managed to score.
