Kasey Jackson
The Osoyoos Coyotes have acquired forward Kasey Jackson from the Chase Heat in
an off-season trade announced last week.
“(Jackson is) a young player, he was 16 when he entered the league, and I think he’s
going to be a huge asset for our team,” said Coyote’s head coach Dean Maynard. “He’s
one of those players, he’s a strong skater, he hits hard, skates hard and shoots hard.”
The 17-year-old from Quesnel put up five goals and four assists totaling nine points in
39 games with the Chase Heat in his rookie season last year.

The Coyotes acquired Jackson by in exchange for D-man Rhys Lepine, who came to
Osoyoos from Kelowna last year.
“We had a good chat. For (Lepine) to keep playing the game I thought it was a good
opportunity for him to go to school in Kamloops and also continue to play the game of
hockey,” Maynard said.
Fans should see Jackson soon.
“If he doesn’t make a Junior A camp or a Junior A team he’ll be joining us soon and
you’ll see him on the ice,” Maynard said.
