It’s no secret what Oliver Town councillors and staff make on an annual basis, because that has to be made public under the Financial Information Act.
Last week Chief Financial Officer Dave Svetlichny released the 2015 Statement of Financial Information, which outlines the remuneration of each council member and some staff positions.
For example, Mayor Ron Hovanes is paid $26,502, with expenses totaling $7,105.
Councillors Petra Veintimilla, Larry Schwartzenberger and Maureen Doerr make $14,134.55. Respectively, their expenses were $4,538, $1,035, and $4,941.
Councillor Jack Bennest earns $12,344 with $1,790 in benefits. His expenses last year were $436.58.
Water councillors Rick Machial and Andre Miller earn $5,299.97 per year. Their expenses: $356.58 and $2,814, respectively.
Last year the chief administrative officer Heidi Frank earned $150,362, with $6,910 in expenses. She was replaced by former corporate officer Cathy Cowan.
Svetlichny is paid $113,145, with his expenses totaling $3,437.
Director of Operations Shawn Goodsell was paid $95,383 last year, with his expenses totaling $1,710.
Deputy financial officer Heather Wilson earned $81,383. Her expenses were $1,686.
Utility operator Arvid Bensler earned $81,453 last year, with $2,201 in expenses. Fellow utility operators Martin Schori and Adrian Zandvliet earned $76,635 and $76,303, respectively.
