Dear Editor:

The Canadian Cancer Society and the Kiwanis Club of Osoyoos would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to AG Foods, Buy Low Foods and the Osoyoos Credit Union for allowing Kiwanis members to sell daffodils in their establishments.

Another big thank you goes out to everyone who purchased daffodils in support of the cancer society.

We apologize to those who wanted to purchase daffodils, but were too late.

The live daffodils for the cancer society have not been sold in Osoyoos for several years, so this was a new project for the Kiwanis Club and neither the Kiwanis or cancer society were sure how many bundles of flowers we would be able to sell.

Obviously the demand was such that there was a need for more than we brought in.

We had planned to have the daffodils available for sale on both Friday and Saturday last week, but we were sold out by 3 p.m. on Friday.

We will definitely bring in more daffodils next year.

In the meantime, please support the Canadian Cancer Society by donating and picking up a daffodil pin to wear during the month of April. The daffodil pin boxes are located in many businesses around town.

Also consider putting a team together for the Daffodil Dash that will take place on Sunday, April 26.

Thanks again for supporting the Canadian Cancer Society.

We really appreciate it.
