ATB Watersports once again chose a fun way to raise money for SORCO and Highway to Healing this year. They recently offered 30 minutes on a kayak or paddleboard for a $10 donation and split all the donations between the two groups. SORCO rehabilitates injured raptors, typically owls, and is located north of Oliver. Highway to Healing assists families that have to travel to obtain medical care for their children. Last year ATB owner Geoff Nic and his staff held a similar fundraiser. The event was held on Sunday, Aug. 26, but was extended to include the Monday due to bad weather. Staff donated partial wages and ATB matched all contributions. A total of $850 was raised. (Contributed photo)
