As membership to Area 27 grows, officials are hoping to move in with construction equipment before the end of summer.
That’s the goal of South Okanagan Motorsports Corporation president Bill Drossos.
“All funding is in place . . . we hope to mobilize equipment before the summer is over.”
Drossos is anticipating a ground-breaking ceremony at the track site at some point in the near future.
Right now the group is waiting for government approval on the lease agreement for the track, located on a bench east of Black Sage Road.
