The South Okanagan Motorsports Corporation (SOMC) has sent out a special invitation to the media regarding its official groundbreaking of its membership-based motorsport club, Area 27 on December 16.
Contractor Lake Excavating (owned by Area 27 founding member Trevor Siebert) is mobilizing heavy equipment to the Area 27 site and construction will commence soon, weather permitting.
The official groundbreaking ceremony takes place at the Area 27 site off Nk’Mip Road.
The SOMC was founded in 2013 and is the parent company to Area 27, a private membership-based motorsport club. Area 27 has 11 founding members, including co-founders David King, Trevor Seibert, Bill Drossos, and Jacques Villeneuve.
