Quick work by Anarchist firefighters and great “fire-smarting” by a property owners prevented a small grass fire from turning into a big one on Friday.
Crews responded to a downed power line on Peregrine Drive that started a small grass fire. Fortunately, firefighters were on scene almost immediately and managed to keep the flames to a minimum.
Fire officials said wise “fire-smarting” by the property owners went a long way to prevent the fire from spreading.
