Helicopters continue to work the Nk’Mip Creek fire off McKinney Road this afternoon.
Oliver firefighters have been called to assist in structural protection in the area.
The fire is estimated at 6,800 hectares in size and still out of control.
Emergency responders are asking people to stay away from the evacuated area because any interference could hinder their efforts in stopping this fire.
