Oliver RCMP continue to investigate a serious assault that landed a 43-year-old man in hospital on June 17.
Oliver RCMP are investigating an assault on June 17 that resulted in life threatening injuries to a 43-year-old man.
Sergeant Blaine Gervais said the victim arrived at South Okanagan General Hospital suffering from serious injuries.
“It is suspected that the man received the injuries from a targeted assault and the public are not at risk.”
The man was assessed at the Oliver hospital, then immediately transported to a specialized hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.
Oliver RCMP are being assisted in their investigation by specialized units from the Penticton and Kelowna RCMP.
“This investigation is still in its early stages and no other information will be released at this time,” Gervais said.
