We are once again honouring those who are 90 years plus! There will be a birthday tea on Wednesday, May 29 from 2-4 pm at the Oliver Senior Centre at 5876 Airport Street.
Entertainment on board will be the Oliver Senior Line Dancers. If you would like an invitation to this special tea, please phone Pam at 250-498-4092 or the Senior Centre at 250-498-6142. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Although the snowbirds have left us and we do miss them, we are still an active centre with Saturday morning dances, line dancing, floor curling and carpet bowling. Men’s pool is ongoing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Ladies play pool on Wednesdays. George LeClaire is the pool boss.
Come down to the centre and enjoy our coffee socials on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 am. Bring your neighbour with you.
Fern would like you to join her in card games. Do you play crib, whist, “500” or maybe bridge? You may be interested in our next bridge tournament in the fall with much card shuffling then.
If bingo is your choice, we have bingo every Friday at 1 pm. The loonie pot and refreshments are always on. Try your luck.
Would you like to become a member of our Senior Centre Society? Drop in and join, meet new people and partake in our many activities.
We appreciate the kindness and dedicated work of every volunteer. We encourage members and non-members to attend our next general meeting on May 20 at 1:30 pm.
