It was a bright sunny warm day for the 67th Cherry Fiesta in downtown Osoyoos on Canada last Wednesday.

Locals and tourists enjoyed a pancake breakfast served by the Rotary Club of Osoyoos, a water fight between children and firefighters, the traditional parade down Main Street and entertainment throughout the day at Gyro Park. There were also cherry pie eating and cherry pit spitting contests that attracted children and adults more concerned with having fun than trying to look dignified.
