
Gladys Brown (left), past president of of the Dorcas Ladies Unit of the Osoyoos United Church, presented a cheque for $500 last week to Stacy Little, program manager of Better at Home. Also present were Better at Home advisory board members Cindy Kennedy, Mike Truchan and Bonnie Rhys. The Dorcas Ladies are a group started at the church in 1965 whose main source of income is the thrift shop located in the church basement. People from the community and surrounding area volunteer their time organizing items donated to the thrift shop, which is open year round from Tuesday to Friday.
