A vehicle collision slowed traffic on Hwy 97 north of Osoyoos Monday afternoon.
Sometime after 2 p.m. a compact car was turning left on to 148th Avenue when a truck with a trailer struck it from behind.

“No injuries, no one went to the hospital,” said Ryan, McCaskill, Osoyoos Fire Department Chief.

Traffic was slowed for about 30 minutes as crews worked to clear debris.

“We had to clean the road off, there was a lot of debris. We had to clean the road and the traffic wasn’t slowing down so we had single-lane traffic going,” McCaskill said.
