Staff from Interior Savings were out in the community doing volunteer work last Thursday for their Day of Difference.
Three employees from the Osoyoos branch cleaned children’s toys Thursday afternoon for Desert Sun Counselling and Resource Centre’s Community Kitchen at Grace Lutheran Church.
Kerry Bernhardt, Brieanne Mader and Lori Hernandez were polishing away in the church basement.
Other Osoyoos employees volunteered at Desert Sun’s counselling centre in Oliver.
The Day of Difference coincides with International Credit Union Day, the third Thursday in October.
The business is open in the morning with treats and gifts for members, but it closed early at 2 p.m. for more than 500 employees to fan out across 14 communities from Osoyoos to Clearwater to volunteer.
