Launch Okanagan is once again inviting Okanagan residents to join its Dollars & Sense program, a free eight-week money management program designed for anyone experiencing financial difficulties or simply wants to gain better control of their finances.
The non-profit community organization stresses the “ welcoming and practical” nature of the program which focuses on essential topics like budgeting, spending, and debt management, all within a supportive online setting.
Dollars & Sense is open to everyone; no specific eligibility requirements and sessions are held live on Zoom.
Participants will learn:
- How to pay down debt;
• How to save for future goals or big purchase;
• How to use (and stick to) a budget;
• How to feel confident making financial decisions;
• How to build a stronger financial position for 1, 5, and 10 years into the future.
In addition to the group classes, experienced facilitators are available to answer individual money questions one-on-one, offering tailored guidance and support. All classes are recorded and will be sent out the next day to participants who can’t attend live.
“I thought the instruction was great! I felt like there was a deep care to genuinely help people feel more financially literate! I really appreciated the emails post workshop as well,” said one participant of the program.
