As part of its move to strengthen connections with rural communities within the scope of its purview, the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) board is hitting the road again, this time holding its Board meeting in Osoyoos on Thursday, September 4.
The RDOS Board of Directors meeting will take place at 9 a.m. at the Sonora Community Centre located at 8505 68th Ave, Osoyoos. A Special Okanagan-Similkameen Regional Hospital Board (OSRHD) meeting is also scheduled for Thursday, September 4, 2025.
“Bringing the RDOS board meeting to different communities within the Regional District reflects our commitment to open and accessible governance,” said Campbell Watt, RDOS vice-chair.
“This upcoming meeting marks the second change in location, and it offers directors another valuable opportunity to engage directly with the region and better understand the unique needs of its communities.”
The meeting of the RDOS Board of Directors is open to the public and will be streamed live on the RDOS YouTube channel. To view the meeting agenda, visit rdos.bc.ca.
“RDOS staff continue to explore new ways to strengthen connections with rural communities,” said Jim Zaffino, RDOS Chief Administrative Officer. “This includes hosting meetings in various locations across the region and coordinating pop-up offices to engage with residents throughout the Regional District.”
The RDOS kicked off its roaming meetings back in May with the board is taking its business to Princeton.
