Users of irrigation water in Systems 4, 5, 6, and 7 (all properties south of Oliver) are under water restrictions effective immediately due to a transformer malfunction at the Hester Creek Pumphouse.
As the volume of water will be reduced th Town of Oliver is requesting that users limit their irrigation water usage as much as possible. Higher elevation areas will experience a more significant loss of water pressure than lower elevation areas, it said.
The pumphouse will not be up and running again until further notice until Fortis BC completes the repairs, the Town added.
“The Town of Oliver would like to thank you for your cooperation while we work to bring Hester Creek Pumphouse back into service.”
