Registration is now open for a new, free Creative Arts & Crafts Program for children aged 5 to 13, kicking off July 28, at the Quail’s Nest Arts Centre in Oliver.

Organized by the Oliver Community Arts Council, spaces are limited and filling up fast with the Council encouraging families to register early at OliverArtsCouncil.org to reserve their child’s spot in this one-of-a-kind summer experience.

This dynamic program will offer a wide variety of hands-on, imaginative classes designed to inspire, motivate, and spark creativity in young artists. Kids can look forward to making funky houses, vibrant mosaics, learning how to crochet, and exploring many more exciting art forms.

Best of all, participants will bring home a completed project every single day – a proud showcase of their creativity and effort.

Led by a team of enthusiastic and talented volunteer facilitators, the program not only fosters artistic skills but also encourages teamwork, self-expression, and community engagement.

“We’re thrilled to offer this program free of charge to local families,” said a spokesperson for the Oliver Community Arts Council.

“It’s all about giving children the chance to explore the arts in a fun, supportive environment while building something they can be proud of.

“Let’s make art, make memories, and make a difference – join the fun and become a part of something truly special for our community!”

The Arts Council highlighted that the initiative would not be possible without the generous support of our volunteers and partners. “A heartfelt thank you to Kiwanis Club of Oliver for their generous donation, which has been instrumental in bringing this program to life for the children of our community,” it added.
