The Osoyoos Fire Rescue responded to a wildfire burning on Highway 3 on the evening of Friday, Aug. 6, and successfully got it under control.
The fire was measured at approximately 0.01 hectares. The crew managed to contain the fire the same night and it is currently classified as “under control” on the BC Wildfire dashboard.
BC Wildfire Service told the Times-Chronicle that, “the fire has received sufficient suppression action to ensure that there’s no further spread.”
The cause of the fire is currently still under investigation, according to BC Wildfire Service.
