Wind gusts of 50 km per hour have left residents without power this afternoon after a power line was knocked down at Lakeshore Drive and 44th Avenue.
The Osoyoos Fire Department and FortisBC responded to the incident after 4 p.m. The road is currently closed to through traffic until FortisBC removes the pole.
A resident at Lakeshore Villas reported that the property was left without power.
FortisBC is reporting that 175 of its customers are currently without power and an estimated restoration time is not yet available.
