Editor:
Dear Mayor, Councillors, MLA and general keepers of the constituency of Osoyoos.
I just received my letter to start boiling my water.
The same letter I have been getting for years.
My property is a mere three-minute drive from the Main drag yet I pay the same taxes but don’t get the same services.
I have to put up showering in murky, smelly water that I know is not good for my health and certainly not good for children and older folks as well.
So for half the year I have to put up with buying bottled water when my cohorts just a stone’s throw away are happy to be drinking filtered water.
This is more than just a tax issue, this is a health issue and if Oliver has already received the GRANT to fix their system two years ago why are we still waiting?
Let’s find out who was on council or the water committee in Oliver and what they did different than what Osoyoos is doing (or in this case not doing).
Think outside the box and find out how TO get it and not how NOT to get it.
We have as many rights as Oliver and we deserve clean water 12 months of the year and not the slog we have to bath in now, not considering the extra cost involved in bringing in outside water.
Someone has to be held accountable for the lack of making this issue happen.

RESIDENT STILL CONCERNED ABOUT USE OF PELLET GUNS
Editor:
I have written a letter in October that was published on this subject.
My cat was shot with a pellet gun then and I do fear it will happen again.
I have recently seen someone shooting a pellet gun in my neighborhood, off of Nighthawk Drive, in an area that serves as a path for kids to get to school.
Whether the innocent target is a wild bird or someone’s pet, I am absolutely outraged that I live among such a heartless person.
I need to be a protective voice for these animals and feel compelled to warn people that young boys are walking around with pellet guns.
I want parents to read this letter and talk to their children.
I want people to understand that animal cruelty is a serious offence.
And there absolutely is a connection from someone who takes pleasure in shooting and injuring or killing an animal to other malicious behavior.
