More than 150 people made their way to the Osoyoos Indian Band Community Hall on March 8 for the ‘Stop the Violence’ celebration and art show. The event was held in recognition of V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women and girls. The next V-day event ‘A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer,’ hits the stage of the Frank Venables Theatre on April 4 at 7 pm. For more information visit www.vdayoliverosoyoos.org. Lead organizers, from left, Tiffany Beckedorf, Marji Basso and Ursula Wick, seen here, catch their breath after a long but successful day.
