Anarchist Mountain Fire Department (AMFD) is on scene and quick efforts of fire crews have stopped the spread of a grassfire that broke out Thursday morning.
“Just a small fire,” said AMFD Chief Urs Grob. “The source is still unknown and there will be an investigation, but everything is under control.”
The fire is not out, but is no longer spreading.
“We have the whole crew there, so it’s not a problem,” Grob said.
Unconfirmed reports say the fire had something to do with a Fortis BC transformer.

Anarchist Mountain Fire Department is responding to a grass fire on April 9 roughly 0.5 to one acre in size around 11:45 a.m.
The location is below the AMFD fire hall towards the Town of Osoyoos, the Osoyoos Times will have more details as they come.
