Castanet is poised to introduce a new Oliver and Osoyoos homepage in partnership with the Times Chronicle. Starting April 1, the towns of Oliver and Osoyoos will each have their own dedicated news sections on the Castanet site and readers visiting the Times Chronicle site will be redirected to Castanet.
Castanet already has a significant readership following in the South Okanagan and we are happy to welcome them and strengthen their news and sales operations in the communities we cover.
The Times Chronicle is not going away. If anything we expect to get even better. We will continue to improve our news coverage and deepen the audience reach for our advertisers using the resources of Castanet to help us expand.
Readers who prefer to receive the print edition of the paper will continue to receive their copy every week, produced by the same hard working staff you already know working from the Osoyoos office location.
In addition to producing the print edition of the paper the Times Chronicle editorial staff will also be posting to the new Castanet Oliver and Osoyoos homepage.
Our sales staff will be able to help you book either in the print edition of the paper and our related publications, or in one of Castanet’s digital offerings.
We are delighted to be able to make this announcement. It allows us to provide the security to continue to produce the print edition of the paper for those who still want it, while positioning our news operation for a successful digital future.
We have been Oliver’s news source for the last 87 years and we have covered Osoyoos for the last 70 years. We look forward to being your Castanet homepage for the next generation of readers.
