The Town of Oliver has won a prestigious award for financial reporting.
The award by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada recognizes the Town for publishing high quality financial reports.
These reports demonstrate a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” designed to clearly communicate the municipality’s financial story.
The award will be presented to Chief Financial Officer David Svetlichny, Corporate Officer Cathy Cowan, and Manager of Financial Services Heather Piotz.
The Canadian Award for Financial Report
program was established to encourage municipal governments to publish high quality financial reports and to provide peer recognition and technical guidance for officials preparing these reports. Its attainment represents a significant
accomplishment by a government and its management.
The Government Finance Officers Association is a non-profit professional association serving more than 17,800 government finance professionals in the United States and Canada.
