Town council has approved spending nearly $75,000 on its Official Community Plan review.
Council has awarded the contract to EcoPlan International/Arlington Group.
The Town received six submissions, including one from Smithplan Consulting Inc. that bid $51,150.
Most of the bids were in the high $74,000 range.
An evaluation team recommended the contract be awarded to EcoPlan because of its track record and overall knowledge of the South Okanagan.
EcoPlan proposes to undertake the OCP review beginning in February and concluding in March of 2017.
The work will be conducted in four phases, which includes land inventory, mapping and community engagement.
