The Town of Osoyoos announced the closure of almost all facilities Tuesday including the dog park, the skateboard park, all public washrooms, the Kinsmen Park playground and the Lions Park playground.
The closures followed a first round of shutdowns at town facilities last week amid the COVID-19 crisis.
On March 20, the town activated an Emergency Operations Centre with a dedicated email and phone line to provide information to the public on what the town is doing in reaction to the pandemic.
The Town’s office is closed but available by phone at 250-495-6515, or email at [email protected].
Other closed town facilities as of March 24 include:
- Bylaw Enforcement | 250.495.6515 | [email protected]
- Planning and Development Services | 250.495.6191 | [email protected] – Building inspections can be arranged by calling the office and making an appointment.
- ALL public washrooms
- Skateboard Park/Dog Park
- Kinsmen Park Playground/Lions Park Playground
- Pickleball Court
The Sonora Centre, Desert Park facility, RCMP office and Fire Hall were among the first round of closed facilities announced last week.
