The Town of Oliver’s branding has gotten a facelift.
After months of committee meeting and community input, the Branding Blueprint and Usage Guide project, funded by a grant, has come to a close and a new logo and slogan for Oliver has been revealed.
The updated logo includes the similar colours and icons as the former and the tagline, formerly “Wine Capital of Canada,” is now “Canada’s Wine Capital.”
“After much work with the committee, we have created a refreshed brand to represent our community,” Tony Munday of Munday Media & Design, the lead contract holder on the project, said.
There are also several new secondary tag-lines including “Born of the Water, Blest by the Sun,” “Cultivate a moment,” “Our roots run deep” and “A vintage for every taste.”
The new branding will start appearing throughout the community over the next couple weeks, including updated welcome signs and new street banners.
The Town also plans to launch a new website, www.oliver.ca, and release a new digital community photo bank.
The brand is open to the community and the public is encouraged to use it in their promotions and an information booth will be set up at the Oliver Roots and Fruits Expo on Saturday, August 18.
An official brand launch ceremony and cake cutting will occur in front of Town Hall at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 9th.
