The Town of Oliver is looking to hire two new bylaw enforcement officers.

On Monday, council will review a staff recommendation to appoint Christine Dolbec and Caitlyn Bennett to enforce the Town’s bylaws.

In this year’s budget deliberations, council committed to hiring an in-house bylaw enforcement supervisor, a position going to Dolbec who recently moved to Oliver from Valemount.

Council also committed to hiring a full-time officer for the summer months, a job going to Bennett. She is the Town’s current food action coordinator and Parks Ambassador.

Town staff are currently discussing options for a reciprocal agreement with the Town of Osoyoos for vacation and/or weekend coverage throughout the off-season.
