Back in 1934, when this photo was taken, it was possible to go for a quiet paddle or row on Osoyoos Lake without loud power boats swamping you with their wakes.
This photo shows three women in a boat called “Tipsy” as they pause near the bridge.
From left are: Madge Graves, Elenor Kunz and Agnes Carlson.
Carlson was the mother of long-time Osoyoos resident, Dorothy Fairbairn, who provided this photo to Osoyoos and District Museum and Archives. Carlson also ran the general store on Main Street.
